Minibus Driver Training Overview

This Minibus Driver Training session is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for drivers operating a minibus.  The course aims to reduce the risks associated with driving this type of vehicle. 

An ideal addition to your new starter induction process or for someone new to driving a minibus to ensure that drivers understand the legal requirements, safety aspects, and best practices when operating a minibus to reduce road risk and ensure high safety standards for passengers.

Course Structure

A bespoke on road driver training course delivered in a minibus. Lasting approximately 3 hours, this can be delivered 1:1 or 2:1 by a DVSA Fleet Approved Driver Trainer.  As well as assessing the candidates driving skills, the course looks at the legal requirements, safety aspects, and best practices when operating a minibus.

At the end of the course a Driving Risk Assessment Report will be issued with a risk rating:

• Low – No further action required
• Medium – Recommendations for improvement given and a further assessment may be suggested
• High – Additional training will be recommended 

Note; that the candidate must provide a suitable vehicle for the training
